The Virtual Sheepdog Group was created to allow people like you to share my lifelong passion -- working with sheepdogs, in both agility and herding trials. While there is little prize money to be won at sheepdog trials or at agility events (as seen on Animal Planet), “sponsoring” a sheepdog with a disabled handler will give you a sense of pride and satisfaction.
Sponsoring a sheepdog is similar to the idea used in the horse racing world, in which a number of people each own a share in a racehorse. You can sponsor as many dogs, with as many shares, as you want.

paw Sponsorship:
  Shares
  Individual $5.00 per share
Small Business $100 per share

Britt

B RITT--18 month-old (female) Border Collie
A professional shepherd trained Britt while she lived in North Dakota and worked a flock of 800 sheep on the open range. In herding dog terms, Britt is still a puppy and she's already a seasoned pro. She is wonderful with people--especially children.

April

APRIL--2-year-old (female) Belgian Tervuren (a variety of Belgian Shepherd Dog)
In addition to her herding and beginner's agility work, April will attend several AKC herding instinct tests this year. Future plans for April include tracking, therapy work, search and rescue. You can frequently see her trotting close to my wheelchair.

Rocky

ROCKY--15-year-old (male) Border Collie
Rocky's my first agility dog. In one agility season (from 1997-98), we won over 150 ribbons and awards at agility trials throughout the East Coast. He is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement with his friend, Abby, a Border Collie/ Spaniel cross, adopted from Thomas J O'Connor Animal Shelter in Springfield, MA.

Kit

KIT--3-year-old (female) Border Collie
Playful. Friendly. Non-stop. Those words best describe this little tri-colored Border Collie. She thinks life is one big game--and that game, by the way, is agility. Her favorite obstacles are the tunnels. The faster she can go, the more she likes it--which makes it challenging for me, as the handler.
